In 2021, mother and daughter Rose Lewis and Rose West had their sale at a well-known Route 66 location: across from the site of the old Satellite Cafe east of Lebanon.

Dates have been set for the third annual Route 66 Yard Sale: 100 Miles of Treasures on The Mother Road. And all three sponsoring organizations are back.

The 2021 event will be Friday, Aug. 6, and Saturday, Aug. 7, on or near Route 66 in Webster, Laclede and Pulaski counties in Missouri. The dates again coincide with the annual Lebanon Gospel Music Get-Together, which brings hundreds – perhaps thousands – of people to the region that weekend.

Last year 52 sellers announced their sales in advance, and others popped up the days of the sale. When the dates draw near, sellers are encouraged to advertise their sales in their local media and on the “Route 66 Yardsale” (no space between “yard” and “sale”) Facebook page. Watch for updates about the event on that Facebook page.

As of Tuesday morning, the page has 2,063 followers.

The Route 66 Yard Sale is sponsored by the Lebanon-Laclede County Route 66 Society, the Webster County Route 66 Initiative and the Waynesville St. Robert Chamber of Commerce. Committee members are Jill Phillips of Webster County, Cecilia Horne of Pulaski County and Gary Sosniecki of Laclede County.
