Eleven members of Lebanon's Sunbonnet Garden Club heard a presentation by Leland Townsend, a board member of the Lebanon-Laclede County Route 66 Society, Thursday afternoon (May 24) about the recently completed Route 66 Mural Project in Boswell Park. Townsend was assisted by Jason Parnell of the Route 66 Society.

Townsend discussed the history of the project, the story behind each mural and the plans for additional Route 66 features at the park.

He also encouraged the garden club's members to attend the 2018 Lebanon Route 66 Festival on Father's Day weekend. Friday-night activities will be held starting at 4 p.m. at the Munger Moss Motel, and Saturday activities will be at Boswell Park.
