As the Lebanon-Laclede County Route 66 Society wrapped up its monthly board meeting Monday night in a banquet room at Dowd's Catfish and BBQ, eleven Route 66 tourists from The Netherlands were ordering dinner a few feet away in the main dining room.

Route 66 Society board member Ramona Lehman easily recognized tour guide Dries Bessels, Dutch representative of the Route 66 Association, because the entire group is spending the night at her Munger Moss Motel.

This is Bessels' 12th trip from Chicago to Santa Monica on Route 66, which means it's his 12th visit to Lebanon. He'll be making his 13th trip in September.
