This year’s Lebanon Route 66 Festival will feature three cruise-ins and three popular bands during a jam-packed two-day schedule June 18-19. The Route 66 Festival Committee met Wednesday for its monthly planning session.
The first cruise-in will be Friday evening on Commercial Street in downtown Lebanon, part of a Route 66-themed event hosted by the Lebanon Downtown Business District. Phat Mike and the Bartenders will perform from 7 to 10 p.m.
Saturday’s events, hosted by the Lebanon-Laclede County Route 66 Society in partnership with the Lebanon Parks and Recreation and Tourism departments, again will kick off with the annual Route 66 Parade that leads to Boswell Park for an all-day cruise-in. The Bucket Band, which also performed at the 2019 festival, will provide the music.
At 4 p.m., activities will shift to the Munger Moss Motel for a celebration of its 75th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of its ownership by Ramona Lehman and her late husband Bob. A cruise-in is planned for the parking lot. Jess McEntire and the US 66 Band, a Tennessee-based group that has performed at several Route 66 events in Lebanon, will entertain.
Watch for a major announcement next week about the Route 66 Festival.
