Gasconade Bridge - old.jpg

This is a follow-up to our post dated 12-13-18, and is being made May 20, 2019. First of all, I'd like to thank all those who have made donations to our bridge via the "donate" button on the Guardians' Facebook page. We received a check for $206.00 in April, and $243.56 in May. These checks have been deposited to Gasconade Bridge account. Fourteen donations were made last month, ranging from $1.00 to $50.00 Every donation helps!

Secondly - we requested an extension to the May 15th deadline, but MoDOT denied our request. They DID write to us however, and told us the contract for demolition of the bridge won't be let till Spring of 2020, and IF we can find a new owner prior to that contract being let - then MoDOT would transfer ownership, and demolition costs, to new owner and the bridge will be saved!

There are still many hoops that need to be jumped thru, but the FIRST one will be to locate an individual or an organization who is willing to take responsibility for the bridge. THAT's what we are working toward now. Thanks for your continued support!
